We had the pleasure of creating a special collection for Hotel Kinsley, a boutique hotel in the heart of Kingston, NY. Nestled within a series of beautifully restored historic buildings, the hotel blends modern comfort with the rich heritage of the area.
For this collection, we used a technique that’s become a signature of our work—carving and inlaying colored clay. Each vase begins with carefully hand-carved lines, which we then fill with pigmented clay before refining the surface to a smooth finish.
This process creates delicate, flowing lines that subtly merge with the white clay, resulting in an elegant, hazy effect. The pieces feel both timeless and contemporary—much like Hotel Kinsley itself.
